You’ll build essential skills for on-camera work and audition success. Each session includes tailored warm-ups, technique-building for hitting a mark, slating, and interview skills, plus commercial audition strategies covering wardrobe, headshots, and callbacks. We’ll also explore film terminology, the roles of agents and casting directors, commercial marketing insights, and essential casting platforms like Casting Networks, Actors Access, and Casting Workbook, with guidance on CAVCO, TAMAC, and EIC safety protocols. Weekly assignments are filmed for critique, with live, in-class feedback from John. You’ll work on SOC (silent on camera) auditions, one-liners, scripted commercials, and receive a brief intro to voiceover for commercials and animation. In the final weeks, we’ll polish your best work to present in front of a panel of industry professionals, equipping you to step confidently into the industry. Each Industry Professional will leave specific feedback about your performance so that you know how you are being perceived in the industry and can take proper steps to keeping competitive.
